WINTER STYLING: TUNIKAKLEID, LEGGINGS UND STIEFEL
Wenn es zu kalt für Kleider ist...
Ich liebe Kleider, da sie so feminin sind, aber im Winter wird es bei Kälte und Schnee oft schwierig, sie zu tragen, selbst mit Stiefeln. Warme, schneetaugliche Winterstiefel sind optisch gesehen wirklich keine Option und Lederstiefel mit Absatz sind zu kalt und rutschig, außerdem ruinieren Wasserränder die Schuhe.
Natürlich nicht jedes Kleid, aber manche kurzen Tunikakleider kann ich gut über engen Hosen, Jeggings oder Leggings tragen, das ist mir warm genug, ich muss allerdings ein zweites Paar Schuhe mitnehmen, wenn ich unterwegs bin oder ins Büro gehe. Für unser Fotoshooting ging es ausnahmsweise mal mit Lederstiefeln ;-)
Auch wenn dieses rostrote Kleid von Mango als Minikleid verkauft wird, würde ich es natürlich nur als Tunika tragen. Es ist in angenehm weicher Wildlederoptik und lässt sich toll mit Schwarz kombinieren.
Vorne am Ausschnitt hatte das Kleid ursprünglich Schlaufen mit einem langen Band zum Schnüren, aber das sah zusammen mit den Trompetenärmeln zu sehr nach mittelalterlichem Burgfräulein aus und daher habe ich sie abgeschnitten. Ich lasse meine Kleidung oft abändern, die Passform ist wichtig, aber manchmal auch kleine Stiländerungen.
Das Kleid mit rundem Ausschnitt ist bei Mango derzeit hier im SALE zu haben!
Meine Leggings sind aus dickerem Material und der Unterziehrolli Rolli aus feinem Viscosestretch mit halblangen Ärmeln. Da ich keine Pullis trage und dicke Rollkrägen überhaupt nicht haben kann, ist das in der kalten Jahreszeit eine super Lösung für mich.
Meinen Wollmantel von Winser London trage ich so oft und derzeit gerne mit meinem Fellkragen, den ich einfach unsichtbar befestigt habe - ich hatte ihn in dieser winterlichen Variante schon zusammen mit meinem Paillettenrock hier gezeigt. Der Mantel ist sowohl in Schwarz als auch in einem frühlingshaften Rosé bei Winser London hier erhältlich. Dort gibt es auch eine nahezu identische Variante in beiden Tönen, die nun stark reduziert ist!
Ich fühle mich wirklich geehrt, dass ein internationales Magazin wie die Marie Claire mich in ihrer Mexiko & Lateinamerika Ausgabe vorstellt!
Unter diesem Motto wurde ich zusammen mit meiner Freundin und Mitglied unserer Over 40 Collective Catherine von Not Dressed As Lamb ausgewählt. Dabei auch Alyson von That's Not My Age (auch sie kenne ich persönlich und habe über ihren tollen Stilratgber Style Forever hier berichtet), sowie die fabelhafte Lyn von Accidental Icon und Cathy von The Middle Page.
Schon vor zwei Jahren wurde ich auf "Who What Wear UK" - dem führenden online Trend Report - bei den "besten Modebloggern aller Altersgruppen" aufgeführt! WWW hat diesen Bericht nun in einer Neuauflage zusammen mit meinen auch oben genannten Bloggerkolleginnen herausgegeben!
Ich wurde dabei zwar in die Kategorie 60+ ein gestuft, aber da ich dort in so toller Begleitung bin, ist mir das (fast) egal ;-)

WINTER STYLING: TUNIC DRESS, LEGGINGS AND BOOTS
It's too cold for just a dress
I love dresses because they are so feminine and easy to wear but unfortunately it's the opposite in winter when I am facing the cold and snow. Pairing them with warm winter boots is far from looking stylish and leather boots or booties aren't an option when the roads have not been cleared properly from snow and sleet as it is so often the case in my hometown...
That's why I usually take a second pair of shoes with me - only on a few occasions (or a photo shoot!) I can wear leather boots outside, otherwise they will be damaged by the snow or I might slip and fall!
To stay warm, skinny trousers, jeggings or leggings are my solution under dresses. Of course not every dress can be styled that way but it works well with short tunic dresses in winter.
This faux suede dress in a lovely warm red tone by Mango is supersoft and I love wearing it with black. The same dress is available with a round neck from Mango on SALE here. I never wear jumpers or anything woolen around my neck but this light layering top with medium long sleeves plus thicker leggings is a perfect alternative for cold days.
Originally the dress came with as lace-up cleavage but I cut off the laces as they gave the dress a bit of a medieval touch especially in combination with its trumpet sleeves. I often alter my clothes or have them altered by my seamstress - not only a perfect fit but also personal style make all the difference!
I have shown you my merino wool coat by Winser London a couple of times and have last worn it with my sequined skirt here. Again I kept the faux fur collar for a winter look of this versatile coat. It is still available in black and a blush tone (beautiful for spring!) from Winser London. They also offer an almost identical version on sale for only £99 here.
