EXOTISCHE BLUMENMUSTER FÜR SOMMERABENDE

Blumen und Volants gar nicht romantisch-mädchenhaft gestylt

Endlich sommerliche Temperaturen - nicht nur in Bayern, sondern auch in London, wo ich die letzte Woche verbracht habe. Über meine wunderbare Zeit auf der Chelsea Flower Show mit meinen Bloggerfreundinnen der Over 40 Collective und Madeleine berichte ich Euch in Kürze - schaut Euch bis dahin doch schon mal erste Eindrücke hier auf Instagram an!

Mit meinen Kindern, die zur Zeit hier sind und Jasmin (die immer meine schönen Fotos macht!) habe ich heute Abend zum ersten Mal gegrillt, wir mußten aber leider drinnen essen, da dann ein Gewitter kam - das Wetter ist hier in den Bergen unberechenbar. Und da es abends meistens etwas abkühlt, auch ohne Gewitter, sind ein dünnes Jäckchen oder eine Bluse über einem Top immer eine gute Wahl. Die Zahl der wirklich warmen Sommerabend, an denen ich bis soät nachts im Top draußen sitzen kann, sind meist leider nur eine Handvoll...

Neulich hatte ich schon in diesem Post darüber geschrieben, dass bei Zara derzeit ein Großteil der Kollektion aus Blumen, Volants und Rüschen besteht, was mir oft zu viel ist. Reduzierte, abstrakte oder exotische Muster und gerne auf schwarzem Untergrund entsprechen viel mehr meinem Stil.
Diese leichte, transparente Tunika (zu der es eine passende, weite Hose gibt, ist aber nicht mein Geschmack...) ist ideal für einen milden Sommertag und ein tolles Kombiteil mit Schwarz.

Ansonsten trage ich hier nur ältere Sachen, auch meine grünen Wedges (die ich auch noch in Orange habe) sind aus einer früheren Zara Kollektion und meine Clutch stammt aus einem Kunsthandwerksladen in Bali.

SHEER FLORAL TUNIC FOR A WARM SUMMER'S EVE

Grown-up styling of exotic floral prints

Finally we are enjoying some days of sunshine and warm temperatures - both here in Bavaria as well as in London where I just spent a week, the weather has been brilliant. I will soon tell you all about my fabulous time in my favourite city where I attended the Chelsea Flower Show together with my blogger friends of the Over 40 Collective hosted by Madeleine Fashion. Tonight I had the first BBQ this year together with my children who are with me at moment and Jasmin my blog photographer. Often after a couple of days of very warm weather we tend to have thunder and lightning at night and also tonight we had to move inside for dinner...
Here in the mountains temperatures usually cool down at night and a light jacket or a shirt with sleeves are necessary. I always count the evenings when I can sit outside just wearing a sleeveless top and sadly there aren't many...

Recently I mentioned the amount of floral prints and ruffles I have seen at Zara in this post, I soon will have enough of this trend and I am convinced next season's collection will be the opposite! Personally I prefer modest floral prints rather on a black or at least dark background to avoid any too romantic or girly touch.
This light, sheer tunic blouse by Zara (it comes with matching trousers but that would definitely be a floral overload for me!) is ideal for a summer's eve and a great match with black.

Everything else I am wearing is old - the green wedges (which I also have in orange) are from a previous season at Zara and my clutch is a unique piece from an arts & crafts shop in Bali.
