Ein Poncho passt auch im Sommer
... das ist schon fast ironisch gemeint, denn in diesem sogenannten Sommer passt ja eigentlich alles, was ich normalerweise bestenfalls in der Übergangszeit trage! Röcke, Kleider, Sandalen? Fehlanzeige! Einzig Socken trage ich aus Prinzip nie, das habe ich von meiner Mama übernommen und geht von April bis Oktober bei mir gar nicht ;-) Ich denke, dass in Kürze die Sommersachen drastisch reduziert werden, aber ich habe eigentlich gar nicht vor, mir irgendetwas sommerlich leichtes zu kaufen, denn von Übergangsteilen habe ich wesentlich mehr.
Wie zum Beispiel von diesem knallpinken Poncho aus Merino-Kaschmir Mix von HOPE Fashion UK. Kombiniert mit reinem Weiß sieht er richtig sommerlich aus und wenn es tatsächlich wieder warm wird, ist er abends auf der Terrasse kuschelig warm! Das alles habe ich kürzlich persönlich in London von der Gründerin Nayna McIntosh und ihrem Team erfahren, denn HOPE war der Sponsor des fantastischen 30-40+ Bloggermeetings, das meine Freundin Catherine von Not Dressed as Lamb organisiert hatte.

30-40+ Blogger Meet in London
Das Treffen im Mai war rundum perfekt und ich habe mich unheimlich gefreut, meine Bloggerfreundinnen der Over 40 Collective (unsere 40+ Plattform geht demnächst online) wiederzusehen und andere Bloggerinnen endlich persönlich kennenzulernen, die ich bisher nur virtuell kannte. Darunter z.B. Greetje von No Fear of Fashion aus Amsterdam und Yvonne von Funky Forty, die aus Zürich angereist kam!

Wearing a pink knitted poncho in summer
... it's almost ironic given our summer isn't a summer at all but feels more like a grey and rainy November with green leaves.! Wearing skirts, dresses and sandals? No way... I am in trousers and long sleeves or with a jacket every day. And never forget my umbrella! Warm evenings on my terrace watching the stars?? No way...
The bright pink colour at least adds some summer feeling and I loved wearing it with an all white look. We took these photos on a surprisingly sunny day before it started raining again the very same night! I am sure this year's sale will offer a wide range of light summer clothes but I am not inclined to buy any but rather focus on transitional pieces.
Like this bright pink merino-cashmere poncho by HOPE Fashion UK. Paired with white it really looks summery and in case our summer eventually returns, it will be a perfect wrap for my relaxed evenings on my terrace. I am very hesitant wearing knitted pieces as so often they are itchy on my skin but this poncho feels incredibly soft and light.

30-40+ Blogger Meet in London
It has been a fantastic event where I reunited with my friends of the Over 40 Collective (our platform will go live soon) ans finally met some 40+ bloggers whom I have known virtually for a long time.
