Schulterfreies Sommerkleid mit Paisley Muster
2 Tragevarianten für heiße Sommertage
Dieses lange Wochenende war Sommer! 3 Tage... heute Abend soll damit nämlich schon wieder Schluss sein, zumindest wird es wieder wechselhaft. Gut, dass ich den heutigen Feiertag noch in der Sonne genießen konnte!
Meine Tochter ist für einige Monate in New York - dort hat es seit vielen Wochen täglich über 30C, gestern waren es 35C, das ist natürlich gerade in der Großstadt auch nicht ideal, aber einfach schönes, warmes, trockenes Sommerwetter wäre doch im August nicht zuviel verlangt, schließlich sind in Bayern noch bis Mitte September Sommerferien. Ich habe in den letzten Tagen viel Gartenarbeit gemacht und die Schnecken lieben das regnerische Wetter leider sehr. Daher habe ich meine Blumen auch immer in großen Kübeln auf der Terrasse statt im Bett gepflanzt!
Ich hatte neulich schon erwähnt, dass ich in Hochsommerkleidung kaum investiere, es lohnt sich einfach nicht. Dieses rückenfreie Baumwollkleid habe ich seit vielen Jahren (ich weiß nicht mal mehr, woher es ist, denn ich schneide Etiketten immer gleich raus) und liebe es nach wie vor. Bei den wenigen Tragegelegenheiten fühlt es sich immer fast wieder wie neu an ;-)
Mein Kleid trage ich daher im privaten Kreis, zum Baden am See oder im Urlaub (dann auch mit gebräuntem Rücken!) auch gerne solo. Wenn ihr die rückenfreie Variante und wie es zu dem Foto kam, sehen und lesen möchtet, klickt einfach hier zu meinem Instagram Foto!
Natürlich gibt es keine Regeln, was man ab einem gewissen Alter nicht mehr tragen "darf", es kommt schließlich immer auf den Stil, die Figur und den Anlass an, aber persönlich würde ich z.B. auch im Sommer nicht rückenfrei zum Einkaufen gehen, denn ich würde mich damit nicht wohlfühlen.
Sommeralbträume gibt es bei Hitze eh zur Genüge und Susi von Texterella hat hier eine wunderbare Kolumne für die Welt darüber geschrieben!
Für andere Gelegenheiten, wie eben zum Einkaufen oder Erledigungen fühle ich mich mit etwas drüber einfach wohler. Und dafür eignet sich auch bei sehr warmen Temperaturen ein ganz leichtes Blüschen hervorragend. Der Look bleibt fast genauso luftig, aber ich finde es für mich passender, wenn ich aus dem Haus gehe. Toll sehen Sommerkleider auch immer mit einem hochgekrempelten Baumwollhemd aus, das dem Outfit einen noch lässigeren Touch gibt!

Halterneck dress for hot summer days
2 ways wearing a low-backed summer dress
Summer returned for three days and I was able to enjoy this long weekend (today is a holiday in Bavaria) on my terrace and in the garden. Back to work tomorrow and according to the weather forecast we are also going back to mixed weather this week. Well, we shall see...
My daughter is in New York for an internship for a couple of months and for many weeks now she tells me about the very high temperatures above 30C/90s F but she definitely enjoys her time there!
I just wish our summers were are bit more reliable with warm and sunny weather over a longer period instead we are going through sudden weather changes and up and downs of temperatures.
Recently I have mentioned I don't invest in a lot of real summer clothes as it's just not worth it, I don't wear them often enough. I have bought this cotton holderneck dress with paisley prints many years ago and can't even remember which brand it is (I always immediately cut off all labels!) but still love it. Since I don't wear it often, it almost feels like a new dress every time ;-)
When I am at home or when I am going for a swim at one of the lakes nearby or I am on holidays at the beach, I wear it without anything on top and don't mind the low-backed cut although it looks better with a bit of a suntan! Of course there are no rules what to wear over 50 (and you better ignore them!) but I feel it depends on your style, figure and the occasion. However, I have some preferences and don't feel comfortable in everything anylonger which I wore when I was younger. This means I personally don't wear shorts (never liked them anyway!) and I don't go shopping in this backless dress, I just don't feel good so I don't do it!
My solution is very simple: I throw on this sheer short-sleeved blouse when I go to the supermarket or do errands - it is still a very airy outfit but looks less beach-style! Alternatively I'd go for a long-sleeved cotton shirt and roll up the sleeves which adds an even more casual touch.
