TRACK PANTS ETHNIC STYLE

Last week we were surprised by a sudden snowfall of 15" within 24hrs! That has been the biggest amount we have had all winter but luckily the ground wasn't frozen, temperatures immediately increased and almost as fast as it came, it melted. This weekend we were back to fabulous spring weather with 20C and bright sunshine.

My look is casual: Ethnic printed track pants (love these and these), layering top and a waterfall cardigan from Wallis. I have worn this black silky top which adea sent me in autumn numerous times this winter and for sure it will be part of my wardrobe all year round!

My daughter is still here until Easter and I took the opportunity and shopped her closet for this look, see her version here.

Nachdem wir den ganzen Winter so gut wie keinen Schnee hatten, wurden wir letzte Woche plötzlich von 40cm innerhalb von 24 Stunden überrascht! Zum Glück sind die Temperaturen anschließend gleich wieder gestiegen, sodass dieses Wochenende nichts mehr davon zu sehen war.

Es war sehr ungewohnt, am Montag mit Daunenmantel und Winterstiefeln ins Büro zu gehen, aber als wir diese Fotos gemacht haben, waren Straßen und Wege längst wieder frei. Ich hatte mich für eine lässige, bedruckte Hose (auch super: hier und hier), Top und Jacke im Lagenlook entschieden. Alles Ton-in-Ton schwarz-beige und meinen Schmuck habe ich passend zum Ethnomuster der Hose ausgesucht. 

Meine Tochter hat noch bis Ostern Semesterferien und daher konnte ich die Hose von ihr ausleihen, was wir ja sehr oft gegenseitig machen. Wie Alena diese Hose gestylt hat, könnt Ihr hier sehen.

AFRICAN MEMORIES

I called my post "African Memories" because I wore this ethnic print wrap skirt during my trip to Namibia in 1991, that's how old it is...! For a couple of years it was hiding in a cabinet in the basement before I rediscovered it. The soft fabric is perfect for the hot temperatures we currently have in Germany - I love this weather!

In order to maintain the African theme I paired it with a beige safari blouse and lots of golden jewellery.

ERINNERUNGEN AN AFRIKA

Diesen Wickelrock im Ethno-Stil habe ich im Urlaub 1991 in Namibia getragen - so alt ist er! Nach vielen Jahren im Schrank im Keller stieß ich kürzlich wieder auf ihn und er paßt perfekt. Die 22 Jahre sieht man ihm nicht an, oder? Das Material ist superangenehm bei den gegenwärtigen heißen Temperaturen - ich liebe dieses Wetter!

Den Afrika-Look habe ich mit meiner beigen Safaribluse weitergeführt und das Ganze mit viel goldenem Schmuck kombiniert.

Shop my look

The sun was in and out that afternoon, it was difficult to take photos and also the first time my dad used my new camera. After we finished he surprised me with his fabulous around fifty years old leather photobag for my new camera! I am so proud of it!
