PROFESSIONAL BEAUTY MAKE-UP AND PHOTO SHOOT WITH DOUGLAS

MAKE UP AND PHOTO SHOOT WITH DOUGLAS

A couple of years ago I participated in one of these professional make up and photoshoot events and although the photos turned out really nice, I always thought "I don't look like that!" I actually never used those photos on social media as I felt nobody will recognise me in real life ;-)
However, last year I very much enjoyed my make-up and styling event with designer Thomas Rath for QVC's Insider magazine - see my post and photos of the event here.

We all have these days when we look fabulous (that is usually when we feel fabulous!) and others when we want to stay clear of any mirror ;-) My photographer Jasmin who takes all my outfit photos knows me well and our photos always capture the real me. I am so grateful for her taking the time!

Recently Douglas offered a professional make-up and photo shooting in my neighbouring town. Since I had no plans for the weekend and the weather wasn't brilliant for outdoor activities, I thought it would be nice to indulge myself with a little beauty treatment and signed up for an appointment.

Note to self:
Do this more often and make time for a day spa in the very near future!

I started the day with a nice little breakfast in a lovely café before I headed over to the beauty shop where the lovely ladies welcomed me with a glass of champagne!

Lucy, my make-up artist and I discussed the style of my make-up and I asked for a natural look with a special focus on my hooded eyes and a soft coloured lipstick.
Have you ever tried those transparent stickers to enlarge hooded eyelids? They are supposed to be invisible after you add compact eyeshadow but I didn't feel comfortable with them and Lucy removed them.

BTW, I have published these photos on Instagram and Facebook... just hope you'll recognise me in case we meet IRL one day ;-)

MAKE UP UND PHOTO SHOOTING BEI DOUGLAS
