OFFICE LOOK IN A PENCIL SKIRT
After all the rain we finally had some lovely weather and although the forecast is still a bit variable, I take every opportunity to wear a skirt or a dress now. Just ignore my pale legs for the moment... slowly getting there with a little help of a selftanning lotion and hopefully some sunshine on my terrace!
I am recovering from my knee injury but I am still unable to do sports and I wear flats or medium heels most of the time. I've only worn this look with peeptoes during the photoshoot (as you can see on one of the photos). Besides my sleeveless vest (shown here and here), this pencil skirt was another purchase from H&M in a long time. Still happy with both! The length of the skirt is perfect for the office where I have worn it with a soft blouse from Mango.

NEUTROGENA 10 TAGE-FASZIEN-PILATES-CHALLENGE *
MAKE UP AND PHOTO SHOOT WITH DOUGLAS
A couple of years ago I participated in one of these professional make up and photoshoot events and although the photos turned out really nice, I always thought "I don't look like that!" I actually never used those photos on social media as I felt nobody will recognise me in real life ;-)
However, last year I very much enjoyed my make-up and styling event with designer Thomas Rath for QVC's Insider magazine - see my post and photos of the event here.
WHITE SPRING LOOK WITH A LONG SLEEVELESS VEST
Spring and early summer, my favourite time of the year - by far! You can literally watch the nature bringing out lots of new shades of fresh green every day. Since we took these photos, it even looks a lot greener and lusher!
Finally I can wear white again - not only white blouses or tops but complete looks in white. I know there is no limitation but "winterwhite" is not really an option here in our climate. During the colder season I tend to go for creme and beige but wear dark trousers out of practical reasons. White remains a summer colour for me and I love pairing it with nude tones. I have already shown you my sleevelest vest with a black look here. Today it is a summer version and I am so happy about this purchase from H&M as the quality is really good which even my seamstress confirmed when I showed it to her recently.
NEUTROGENA 10 DAYS-FASCIA-PILATES-CHALLENGE *
If you follow me on Instagram
you know I started running again in order to get active and fit. At 52, I notice a change of my body and a lack of agility especially caused by my deskwork (and a lot of hours doing blogwork at night don't help either...) I eat healthy and have changed to a vegetarian nutrition 1,5 years ago but too often I found excuses for skipping the gym. Actually there is no excuse as great running trails literally start in front of my house. But I have also noticed that I need to pay more attention to stretching exercises before and after a run.
ELEGANT PARTY LOOK IN FAUX LEATHER LEGGINGS
How do you dress for a party in spring when the weather is cool and rainy, a summery maxi dress isn't quite appropriate and a Little Black Dress is too formal?
That's what I was facing last week and went for my favourite faux leather leggings and paired them with a printed sleeveless top. Sometimes during the evening I wanted to get some fresh air or sat by the fireplace outside. Then I threw on my blazer - and also took my woolen cape which is always a cosy yet stylish way to stay warm (shown here).
ASYMMETRIC MIDI SKIRT AND A STATEMENT NECKLACE
I love to mix styles but I am not a fan of asymmetry at all. My zodiac sign is libra and for me that means I feel uncomfortable when things are out of balance. I was looking for a midi skirt for quite a while; not a tight pencil skirt but something fuller. On the other hand it shouldn't be too wide around my hips... quite a challenge! Then I saw this black and white Zara skirt with nude side parts and was quite keen on it - until I realised it had an asymmetric cut!! I was thinking of taking it to my seamstress and have it altered. On the other hand, I like the longer length, so I will give it some time and then reconsider.
